About Me
Hi, I’m Adam Frank!
I graduated from Columbia University, and for about 15 years now, I’ve tutored advanced college mathematics, computer science, and formal logic.
I also help with mathematical statistics, introductory physics, and introductory chemistry.
I love math and science, and I love helping students who are interested in it too!
Why Choose Me?
Expertise
I have a deep and broad background in some very challenging subjects.
Taking a hard course? Professor moving too fast?
I can help!
Communication
Many experts have a deep knowledge of their subject, but lack an ability to communicate it. With years of experience, I’ve developed a skill at explaining technical and complex ideas with clear and simple language. Also, I am a native English speaker.
Is your professor difficult to understand?

Professionalism
Tutoring is my job. Therefore I show up to appointments on-time and prepared. I am available most days and times, unless already scheduled with another student. I treat all of my students as coworkers — therefore I both show and expect the respect and maturity that comes with a work environment.
Do other tutors or study mates flake too often? Need more dependability, or a wider range of available times?

Why NOT Choose me?
Honesty is the best policy! My service isn’t the right fit for every student.
My service is effectively a “mathematician for hire”. I really get a sense of accomplishment from helping students who want to learn, and I enjoy our work together. I work primarily with college students, and high school students who want to learn the subjects that I offer.
Conversely, if a student is unhappy, or learning something they don’t want to learn, I really cannot help students with either negativity or poor study habits. It’s just not in my skill set.
If a student requests additional exercises, or advice on studying, I’m happy to fill the request. If a student does not request anything, I won’t do anything — my workflow really depends on the student taking the initiative, and assumes maturity.
